Daysi Alonzo joined ACS in August 2011 and currently serves as the Student Chapters Fellow. In this capacity, sheassists with the programming logistics for ACS’s nationwide network of student chapters and helps to conduct outreach to individual members to strengthen their role in the ACS network.
Before joining ACS, Daysi worked for the UCLA New Student and Transition Programs as a New Student Advisor and the Family Orientation Program Student Coordinator. She also interned for the California Assembly—District 50. Additionally, Daysi participated in the UCLA Law Fellows Program.
Daysi graduated with honors from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a Mass Media concentration and a minor in Chicana/o Studies in 2011.
Daysi enjoys traveling, watching baseball, listening to music, and keeping in touch with friends and family. Daysi lives in Washington, D.C.
