UH Black Law Students Association and ACS present speakers Luis Figueroa, Legal Staff Attorney for MALDEF, and Lisa Graybill, Legal Director of ACLU Houston, for a discussion about the recent redistricting legislation in Texas. They will address the proposed maps' impact on minority communities, and the recent Supreme Court decision that a panel of judges may redraw any lines that are likely to violate the Voting Rights Act. They will also address the new Voter ID laws and their impact on voter rights.
